Position Purpose
Oversees business process analysis including cost / benefit analysis, design review, and simulation for technology projects. Maps, analyzes, and document business processes and projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Conducts detailed analysis of existing business processes and identifies bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement by identifying gaps in the business process.
- Creates comprehensive documentation, including process flowcharts, user stories, and detailed specifications, ensuring a clear roadmap for automation projects.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to understand the business requirements and determine the correct system design.
- Prepares business process mapping and function design.
- Analyzes business partner’s operations to understand strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
- Serves as a liaison between business and development to ensure technical solutions meet the business needs as delegated by the client.
- Recommends business process redesign and documentation as needed.
- Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for IT development.
- Facilitates user acceptance testing (UAT) and gathers feedback for continuous improvement.
- Partners with business units to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements such as forms of data input, how data is to be processed, and how the results will be managed.
- Serves as a subject matter expert on current “as-is” process and works with the business to define the “to- be” process.
- Reviews and analyzes system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested programs or program changes are possible within existing system.
- Identifies and differentiates system configurations from programming solutions.
- Writes detailed functional specifications for program development.
- Performs and documents system configuration.
- Coordinates system interface design and development.
- Prepares and / or coordinates technical reports, process documentation, test plans, training needs assessments, and implementation plans.
- Creates process change by integrating new processes with existing ones.
- Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts. Stays up to date on future innovations and technical trends to direct future changes.
- Contribute to project planning and estimation, provides technical insights to ensure realistic timelines and resource allocation, and collaborates with project managers to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Tackles complex technical challenges, troubleshoots and debugs issues, ensuring the smooth functioning of applications in production.
- Collaborates proactively with various stakeholders to identify and evaluate opportunities for strategic automation initiatives.
Safety
Performs preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensures equipment is in safe operating condition.Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing; operates tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.Corrects unsafe conditions in work area and promptly reports any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.Supervisory Responsibilities

Education : (See approved combinations of Education & Experience below)o Accredited High School diploma, GED, or Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency required; o Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in a related field preferred.
