Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation’s premier construction industry professionals. Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for the position of QA / QC Manager  in  Manhattan, New York.

QA / QC Manager  Compensation & Benefits

Total compensation for the QA / QC Manager  in Manhattan, NY  is between $200,000 – $250,000.

QA / QC Manager Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide onboarding and safety orientation for new employees. Create training certifications and maintain safety training files of all employee credentials.
  • Responsible for overall review of incoming inspections, in-process inspections, final inspections, calibration records, and training.
  • Monitor safety performance across all jobsites within the Division’s geographical area.
  • Conduct workplace safety audits and take appropriate action to correct any safety issues or deficiencies.
  • The QA for all inspection and test activities while attending and verifying all tests and inspections required to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Conduct weekly toolbox safety meetings and additional stand downs as needed.
  • Oversee and manage the performance of on-site safety and QA / QC representatives.
  • Perform quality oversight on all subcontractors and reviewing agreements with subcontractors.
  • Purchase and maintain adequate stock of safety PPE and equipment and ensuring materials are available when needed throughout project.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
  • Assist project managers and / or superintendents with the development and execution of job specific safety plans.
  • Review accident procedures and apply the Company’s accident reporting policy.
  • Responsible for internal and external auditing of construction entities and subcontractors.
  • Responsible for all general QC administration, staffing, supervision, and ensuring strict adherence to all compliance requirements.
  • Investigate and complete incident / accident investigation reports and submit them to the Corporate Safety Director.
  • Facilitate post-incident, reasonable suspicion, and random drug testing as needed.
  • Provide extensive in-person safety training and mentoring to employees in confined spaces, electrical safety, forklift, lock-out / tag-out, hazardous communication, ladder safety, excavation, and trench safety, fall protection, respiratory protection, and other topics as required.
  • Work effectively with other department managers.
  • Ensure required state and federal employment posters are up to date.
  • Assist with reviewing and developing Method of Procedures (MOP) for task safety.
  • Maintain SDS and the Hazardous Communication Program.
  • Manage and enforce the policies outlined in the Company’s Environmental Health & Safety Management Plan and Injury & Illness Prevention Plan at the Division level.
  • QA / QC Manager  Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or similar from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years of experience in heavy construction inspection, supervision, and management of large public works projects.
  • 5+ years as a Supervisor or Manager of construction quality control teams.
  • Thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
  • Strong understanding of safety management principles, hazard identification, risk assessment, and accident prevention strategies.
  • Experience with contract specifications regarding quality control teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze safety data, identify trends, and develop proactive strategies.
  • Experience with MS Office along with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • New York City large project experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
