Researches, tests, certifies and documents operating system upgrades and patches to be deployed into the organization, as well as define associated processes. Designs, tests, implements and documents unassisted installs of software updates and new installs, as well as custom desktop configurations. Acts as a Team Lead for the design and implementation of client technology and end-user computing systems, leading and directing the work of others. Provides technical direction, project leadership, documentation, and senior level engineering as it relates to the client technology environment. Acts as a primary technical interface with different areas of the business during project requirements gathering, design, implementation and documentation. Investigates, troubleshoots, analyzes and resolves problems that have been identified or escalated. Provides input during the performance appraisal process. Plans, evaluates and recommends new technology and innovation solutions. High School diploma or GED required. BS in IT field preferred. 10+ years of experience in IT field. Minimum 7 years experience as a Desktop Engineering / Architecture professional. Minimum 3 years experience with imaging tools and software packaging technologies Expert knowledge of Microsoft Intune, imaging (SCCM / MECM), patch management, endpoint protection (Anti-Malware & Encryption), scripting / automation, and software packaging technologies and processes. Expert knowledge and understanding of Desktop operating systems methodologies (file system, registry, services, etc.), as well as system tools and remote desktop support. Expert knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, software packages and products. Expert knowledge of SCCM, SCSM, SCO and MDOP products. Strong knowledge of Citrix, VMWare, App-V and other virtualization platforms. Advanced level troubleshooting skills, including Tier 3 support and root cause analysis of the Desktop environment. Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Server products. Working knowledge of networking technology and concepts. Proficient in one or more scripting languages. Proven ability to use good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to gain, understand and apply information and data as it relates to Information Technology. Ability to provide flexible and adaptable work schedules. Strong organization, planning and prioritization skills. Multi-tasking and Time Management Skills; thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment where deadlines are essential. Ability to demonstrate high integrity, develop strong working relationships and build trust and confidence among peers and management. Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills and ability to provide technical consultations as needed. Project management skills. Overview
Responsible for high-level design, engineering, and support of the global end-user computing environment, including but not limited to desktop computing stations (desktops, laptops, and virtual computing devices), telecommunications handheld devices (Blackberrys, PDAs, iPhones) and software application installs (COTS and proprietary). Under general direction, leads and performs organization-wide patch management, desktop / laptop images and scripting / automation, as well as large scale implementation projects related to the client technology environment. Serves as a senior level resource to the organization for client technology functions.
Pay Range : $95,000.00 - $110,000.00
