Summary :
Under general supervision, oversees and directs the ANTHC Behavioral Health Wellness Clinic and provides direct behavioral health services. Job includes both management and direct-care duties.
Responsibilities :
Directs the ANTHC Behavioral Health Wellness Clinic
Collaboratively develops clinic goals and priorities and oversees strategic plan for implementation. Makes appropriate adjustments and modifications to behavioral health services to meet service recipient needs. Oversees all aspects of clinical and administrative operations including quality assurance, clinic management, and behavioral health service delivery. Provides leadership for clinic staff. Assigns tasks and projects. Oversees development of staff skills and training plans. Implements corrective actions and conducts performance evaluations. Ensures compliance with accreditation standards, Alaska State Medicaid regulations, and all local, state, and federal health regulations and policies.
Provides Clinical Guidance to Clinical Staff and Interns
Leads and manages clinical staff through recruitment, retention, mentoring, coaching, and supervision ensuring staff engagement to meet organizational and department clinical goals and objectives. Ensures staff meet ethical standards (Code of Ethics). Delegates clinical supervision of individual and / or group sessions for all non-independently licensed providers, Behavioral Health Aides, interns, and other relevant trainees. Monitors timeframe goals for any staff needing to complete their independent licensing or certifications based upon State of Alaska State licensing board requirements and / or Federal Certification Requirements. Remains up to date on all required trainings that support clinical supervisors and licensure renewals.
Responsible for Routine Reporting and Stakeholder Engagement
Provides written and oral reports to the ANTHC Board of Directors and other tribal stakeholder groups. Facilitates stakeholder engagement meetings.
Provides Direct Clinical and Consultative Services
Delivers behavioral health screening, individual and group therapy, and / or psychological testing and assessment.
Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
Master's degree (MA / MS) in Psychology, Social Work or related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
Non-supervisory - Six (6) years of experience providing behavioral health clinical services in a behavioral health clinic or hospital with at least four (4) years of experience in program development, oversight, and evaluation. Progressively responsible related work experience, education, or training may be substituted for this experience.
AND
Supervisory - Four (4) years of clinical supervision / management experience.
MINIMUM CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATION
Active State of Alaska Behavioral Health License (e.g., Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Psychologist)
AND
Meets all requirements in order to obtain medical staff membership and required privileges of service.
PREFERRED EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
APA-accredited doctoral training program
APA-accredited pre-doctoral clinical internship
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
Experience in the Alaska Tribal Health System.
Experience providing culturally-minded clinical care.
Experience working with Telehealth technology.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATION
Alaska Psychologist License (or license eligible in Alaska).
