Roles & Responsibilities

  • Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, stretch wrappers, etc.)
  • Load and unload trucks; stage and prepare products for sterilization
  • Follow Kanban / bin system requirements and FIFO rotation for materials
  • Prepare documentation and verify incoming / outgoing materials (packing slips, transfer records)
  • Add spores to products, assist in ethylene oxide sterilization prep
  • Perform cycle counts and assist in physical inventory
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment and assist in equipment troubleshooting
  • Support Sterilization Supervisor and team in operational efficiency
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives
  • Mandatory participation during plant shutdowns

Experience Required

  • Minimum 2 years of experience at BD or 1 year of comparable warehouse experience externally
  • Prior hands-on experience with forklifts and other warehouse equipment
  • Demonstrated history of good work performance and attendance

    • Skills & Certifications

  • Strong communication, math, and computer skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment
  • Knowledge of warehouse systems (stock locator, barcode / RFID scanners)
  • Ability to safely handle hazardous materials and respond to emergencies
  • Familiarity with RCRA hazardous waste regulation

    • Eligibilities & qualifications

  • Education : High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Must be physically and mentally capable of wearing full-face respirators and passing annual physical and fit tests
