Amazon’s Geospatial team is looking for a Vendor Manager, a pivotal role where our vision is to provide the best mapping solution for logistics with focus on a safe, efficient and frictionless delivery experience. We work with a portfolio of map vendors to enrich our maps with attributes important to transporters.

As a vendor manager, you will be a passionate advocate for our transporters, possess strong negotiation and analytical skills, together with proven commercial knowledge and experience. The ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task is a must, together with excellent project management skills and laser sharp attention to detail. The Vendor Manager must also be an effective communicator, working with some of Amazon's most important partners and vendors, as well as with internal colleagues and cross-functional leaders. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for logistics and a high level of flexibility and commitment. We are seeking a tenured Vendor Manager with growth potential.

  • Enjoyment of analytical tasks – working to create different scenarios based on alternative solutions
  • Comfort managing a wide variety of projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced and ambiguous business environment
  • Willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and operate with limited guidance
  • Strong commercial and people judgment
  • Analytical ability to think both strategically and tactically

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in business development, partner development, sales or alliances management
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Geospatial experience
