HVAC Technician Opportunity At MGM Springfield

The Job :

Join our dynamic team at MassMutual Center as an HVAC Technician, where you will be essential in maintaining the integrity and functionality of our facility. Your responsibilities include performing predictive maintenance, reactive repairs, and installation work on all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the building. The starting rate is $34.57 per hour. The day-to-day includes :

  • Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems throughout the property; responsible for completion of all jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management and maintain logbooks
  • Operate power and hand tools to complete job assignments
  • Use diagnostic tools, such as but not limited to : Amp Meters, Voltmeters, OHM meters, compound gauges and pressure gauges etc. to find and determine source of power and gas issues using voltmeter or gauges
  • Read and understand blueprints and wiring schematics to install and work on electrical components
  • Understand the layout of the property, hotel rooms, and equipment
  • Keep informed and updated on current techniques and technical methods and advise Shift Supervisor of any unusual conditions within the property
  • Maintain a constant awareness of property cleanliness, safety and accident prevention; able to wear / use personal protective equipment (p.p.e.)

The Ideal Candidate :

  • Has high school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Has 2+ years of prior relevant experience in the hospitality industry or similar environment
  • Valid MA Refrigeration' License-Required
  • Valid EPA Universal Certification Required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid Mechanical or EPA HVAC&R A-B license - Required
