CNC Machinist III - Weekday Night Shift

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Must be able to work Monday-Thursday 4 : 00 PM-2 : 30 AM

Seven (7) years of related CNC experience.

Two (2) years' experience with multi-axis machines.

Desired - Two (2) years experience with CNC programming OR - 15+ Years Manual / Tool and Die

Experience with one or more of the following CNC machines : Hermle, Hass, DMG Mori, GF Mikron, and / or Okuma

Working knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, or other CNC controls

Excellent blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard

Familiar with the use of personal computers

Ability to provide Design for Manufacturing feedback

Must be physically able to climb ladders, and stairs, work in small / restricted areas, and lift and carry 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications :

Tooling and fixture design.

Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) experience

Outside processing knowledge including heat treating, plating, coating, EDM, grinding, etc.

CMM programming / operation experience

CNC programming skills, preferably NX

Conversational programming on the machine

Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts

Required for Certain Job Profiles : Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and / or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including : Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation / shipping training.

Required for certain Job Profiles : Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
