Customer Billing and Accounting Representative The primary function of the Customer Billing & Accounting department is to ensure accurate and on-time billing of the organization’s customers, both residential and commercial. This role will primarily focus on residential customers, including pre-pay and distributed generation. Functions include reviewing accounts during all phases of the billing cycle to ensure accurate billing and proper account maintenance. DESCRIPTION OF POTENTIAL DUTIES Review accounts pre-invoicing and adjust as needed Validate customer usage Complete meter exchange and install orders Review billing statements generated and update as needed Maintain customer account records Verify agency assistance payments Transition customers to prepay program and monitor prepay activities Collaborate with internal departments to research, address and process customer concerns Utilize various tools such as MS Suite, CIS system, Archive database to perform essential job duties IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS Excellent attendance record Experience with basic formulas in Excel Creative and critical thinking skills Self-motivated to resolve billing inquiries by completing research and utilizing tools High attention to detail with a focus on quality Ability to self-manage and take direction Organized and able to prioritize their day Flexible and able to adapt as new tasks emerge The ability to work independently, as well as strong teamwork skills
