Deputy Clerk II

The City of Hampton is seeking a Deputy Clerk II to perform complex records management work in the Hampton Circuit Court Clerk's office. Requires being deputized to administer oaths and conduct routine transactions on behalf of or in place of the Clerk. Minimum Requirements :

• High School diploma or GED. Associate Degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years front facing, customer service-related experience, preferably in a clerk's office.
• Strong interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to deal effectively with challenging and changing deadlines.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
• Must successfully pass a background check before any offer of employment or promotion.
