Mechanical Assembler

We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler with at least one year of experience in mechanical assembly within an electronic or mechanical manufacturing environment. This position is a six-month contract-to-hire opportunity, requiring candidates to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand assembly drawings.
  • Assemble and build mail automation equipment.
  • Use both hand and power tools to assemble equipment.
  • Work independently and within a team, depending on the project.
  • Shift : 7am - 3 : 30pm (Lots of OT, working till 5pm and frequent Saturdays)

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read assembly drawings similar to easy-to-read blueprints.
  • Recognize parts such as pulleys, bearings, springs, and gears.
  • Identify hardware like screws, bolts, nuts, washers, and snap rings.
  • Experience using both hand and power tools.

  • Candidates with strong mechanical skills and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, punctuality, and detail orientation.

    Work Environment

The role is full-time, first shift, from Monday to Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM, with the possibility of required overtime and weekend work without advance notice.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, Texas.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00 / hr.
