Job Summary :

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides basic patient care under the supervision of a Provider (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Physician). The role will require excellent customer service skills, Provider support with checking Veterans / patients into the clinic, retrieving medical documentation, scheduling, and examination assistance. The CNA is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting the exam rooms and maintaining overall office cleanliness. Ideal candidates have a proven track record of high reliability working in a very independent atmosphere with little oversight. This job description outlines the primary duties and requirements for a CNA role, highlighting the importance of compassionate care and effective communication in supporting patient well-being. CNAs who join TM will be required to become Certified Medical Assistance within 6 months of employment. This certification is at the expense of the CNA.

Key Responsibilities :

• Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Record patient information and care provided in electronic medical records (EMR) or patient charts.
• Scheduling, intake, discharge, and customer service of all Veterans in the clinic.
• Assisting with performing procedures under the delegation of the Health Care Provider in the clinic after proper training and competency checks. Ie. EKG, Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), Phlebotomy.
• Creation and maintenance of the physical and virtual site binders for compliance purposes.
