Senior FE Leaning Full Stack Engineer - NYC hybrid (React / Java) (New York)

Our client is a mission-driven, growth-oriented software company thats tackling a huge issue in the HealthTech space. They've got a very successful product already, and now building a new squad to deliver the same product to a new market, with the next hire on that team being a Product focused and FE Leaning Full Stack Engineer.

The Role

Were seeking a seasoned Full-Stack Engineer to join as a senior individual contributor on a high-impact initiative. While solid backend experience is required, your true strength lies in shaping and building the front-end : designing scalable, performant web applications in a modern React ecosystem. Youll own architecture decisions, choose frameworks and design patterns, and roll up your sleeves to deliver complete features from API to UI.

What Success Looks Like

• Lead the development of complex front-end systems using React + TypeScript, with strong opinions and clear vision.
• Participate (and sometimes lead) backend work : APIs, databases, state management, multi-tenant SaaS concerns.
• Define and maintain best practices for web applications : routing, performance, caching, security (OAuth2 / OIDC / JWT), offline capabilities (PWAs) and responsive design.
• Collaborate across teams infrastructure, backend, UX, product and guide less-senior engineers through mentorship, code review, and architectural discussions.
• Shape the products technical future : you wont just build features, youll help decide how we build.
