Description

The Modesto Irrigation District is currently recruiting to fill one full-time regular position in the IT Applications Support Department, Information Technology Division, to analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain technology solutions and enterprise applications across a diverse application portfolio that supports MIDs business operations.

A strong candidate should possess a solid understanding of relational databases and programming principles, work effectively with cross-functional teams to design, improve, and support internal applications, and be capable of building and maintaining robust data-driven systems. Responsibilities include writing and optimizing SQL queries to support reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making throughout the organization. This position offers an excellent opportunity to expand your technical expertise and gains hands-on experience within a dynamic, enterprise-level environment.

The position will be filled at the appropriate level (Programmer Analyst I or Programmer Analyst II) based on the qualifications of the successful candidate.

Examples of Duties

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following :

PROGRAMMER ANALYST I :

• Perform single activities in support of information technologies, which may include assisting in developing, designing, modifying and maintaining software for applications.
• Activities may apply to applications software in support of administrative information systems, communications systems and desktop personal systems including software in support of voice, data and / or video technologies or infrastructures.

PROGRAMMER ANALYST II :

Other Related Duties

Typical Qualifications

Any combination of education, experience, knowledge and abilities may satisfy the necessary minimum qualifications. A typical way to obtain the education, experience, knowledge and abilities would be :

Education :

High School diploma or equivalent. Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a major in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics or closely related field.

PROGRAMMER ANALYST II :

Progression for each level of Programmer Analyst will be based on proficiency in categories defined in the Information Technology Skill Comparison for Programmer Analysts Matrix.
