Job Summary
- The Coordinator – Business Development / Marketing / Public Relations is responsible for implementing and managing marketing, communication, and public relations strategies to support the hospital's goals and visibility in the community
- This position works closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications and other stakeholders to support strategic priorities, media relations, community engagement, and physician outreach
- The Coordinator serves as the on-site resource for marketing and communications and ensures timely execution of related projects
Essential Functions
Assist the Director of Marketing & Communications with implementing local and organizational marketing strategiesCoordinate advertising efforts and media placements for hospital services and eventsMaintain website and social media platforms with timely and accurate contentCoordinate internal communication initiatives for employees and physiciansPromote hospital services through earned media, public relations, and community sponsorshipsPlan and support hospital participation in local events and community initiativesDevelop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business development goalsCoordinate physician marketing initiatives including referral development, event planning, and collaboration opportunitiesSupport crisis communication efforts under the guidance of senior leadershipTrack and report on marketing project performance, media coverage, and promotional impactKnowledge / Skills / Abilities / Expectations
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong writing, editing, and proofreading skillsAbility to manage multiple projects with competing deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and content management systemsAbility to take initiative, exercise sound judgment, and work independentlyFrequent sitting, data entry, and use of computer systemsOccasional bending, reaching, and walking for event coordination and on-site promotionsMay lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally for marketing materials and event setupOffice environment with regular presence in hospital and community settingsOccasional evening or weekend work for events or urgent communications needsMinimal exposure to hazards; standard precautions followed in clinical areas when applicableQualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field requiredLicenses / Certifications
None requiredExperience
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations required, preferably in a healthcare or service industry setting
