Laboratory Assistant – Specimen Procurement (Evening / Night Rotation)

Location : Hyannis, MA 02601

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Evening / Night

Schedule : 40 hrs / week (16 hrs evenings 1 : 00 PM–9 : 00 PM; 24 hrs nights 9 : 00 PM–5 : 00 AM)

Weekend / Holiday Rotation : Every other weekend and holiday

Travel Rate : $1,337.5 / week

Local Rate : $1,162.5 / week

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Laboratory Assistant – Specimen Procurement  for an exciting job in Hyannis, MA.

Responsibilities

Receive, verify, label, and distribute specimens.

Perform data entry, order tests, and retrieve results using lab systems.

Prepare and ship specimens to reference or internal labs.

Perform phlebotomy and assist with patient specimen collection.

Maintain inventory, equipment, and clean work areas.

Communicate effectively with staff regarding specimen handling and priorities.

Ensure confidentiality and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

1+ year of healthcare or lab-related experience (e.g., Lab Assistant, PCT, CNA, Phlebotomy Tech).

Typing speed of 30+ wpm; knowledge of medical terminology.

Experience with lab or EMR systems.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred : Phlebotomy certification or prior hospital lab experience.
