Front Office Medical Assistant

Newport Children's Medical Group provides expert, compassionate pediatric care for children of all ages, from newborns to adolescents, at its locations in Newport Beach, Irvine, Costa Mesa, and Laguna Beach.

The Front Office Medical Assistant will undertake essential administrative responsibilities to ensure the efficient operation of physicians' offices and other healthcare facilities.

Job Type : Full-time, Direct hire

Pay : $20 per hour

Hours : Mon-Fri, 8 hours shift

Primary Responsibilities :

FRONT OFFICE :

• Front desk reception, answer phones and schedule appointments
• Greets patients and assist with signing in
• Files and maintains medical and financial records
• Verify insurance eligibility
• Process outside referrals and authorizations management
• Performs other position related duties as assigned
• Calls in prescriptions to the pharmacy
• Uses communication skills with appropriate medical terminology
• Follows appropriate legal and ethical professional conduct

Requirements :

Minimally 1 year of MA experience

MA Certified

BLS Certified

Bilingual in Spanish or Chinese
