Recruitment Consultant - Finance & Accounting @ Selby Jennings

Currently representing a leading digital asset management firm backed by major venture capital investors. They are seeking an FP&A Lead to drive financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis. This role enables partnership with senior leadership, influence of key business decisions, and shaping the finances of a fast paced firm.

Base Pay Range

$150,000 – $225,000 per year

Compensation

$150-250k base + equity

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate operational scenarios and product launches
  • Budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial planning (quarterly, annual, etc.)
  • Provide strategic insights regarding capital allocation and value creation
  • Variance analysis and performance tracking
  • Aid in monthly reporting packages and board reporting
  • Flashes
  • Streamline FP&A processes and automate where applicable (implementing systems)
  • Collaborate with alternative business units regarding budget
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across the business and articulate data to investors / senior leadership

Qualifications

  • Prior experience within financial services, broker dealers, asset managers, etc.
  • 6-12 years of experience in FP&A, investment banking or strategic finance
  • Ability to perform monthly closes and participate in reporting cycles
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and ability to analyze and plan around them
  • Ability to develop financial models from scratch
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Proficient in financial systems such as NetSuite (preferred), and BI tools like Tableau, Mode, or Power BI; SQL a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Ability to articulate financial results and work in a fast-paced environment
