Behavioral Interventionist (BI) Position Overview : We’re looking for compassionate and motivated individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians (BT). In this role, you’ll work one-on-one with clients under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), implementing customized behavior plans and teaching key life skills in settings such as homes, schools, and the community. Behavior Technicians play a vital role in delivering evidence-based interventions, collecting data, and assisting clients in reaching their goals.
Behavioral Interventionist (BI) Responsibilities :
Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by the BCBA to address clients' specific needs and goals.
Provide one-on-one direct instruction to clients using applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques, including discrete trial training (DTT), naturalistic teaching strategies, and behavior management techniques.
Collect data on client progress and behavior using designated data collection tools and methods.
Assist clients in acquiring and practicing functional skills across various domains, including communication, socialization, self-care, and independent living.
Foster a supportive and positive learning environment for clients, promoting engagement, motivation, and independence.
Collaborate with the BCBA and interdisciplinary team members to review client progress, adjust intervention strategies as needed, and ensure consistency across settings.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, caregivers, and other team members, providing updates on progress and sharing relevant information.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of applied behavior analysis.
Behavioral Interventionist (BI) Qualifications :
Ability to follow instructions, implement behavior intervention plans with fidelity, and collect accurate data.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to clients' homes, schools, or community settings as needed.
