Diamond Foundry is looking for a highly experienced and innovative mechanical design engineer to lead high-visibility R&D projects within the Reactor Development Group. This individual will primarily design and develop Plasma-Enhanced CVD reactor equipment and other systems used in the growth and manufacture of diamond. The candidate should have experience leading multiple projects and teams with a strong success record.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a mentor to team members and collaborate effectively within a team environment. Lead projects across multiple departments.
• Oversee manufacturing of machined components and guide designs from R&D to production, balancing performance and cost considerations.
• Design and develop new reactor systems and components, applying expertise in machine design, mechanics, thermals, and fluids. Conduct analytical or numerical evaluations of designs.
• Manage prototyping, documentation, and manufacturing processes of reactor designs, including preparing drawings and coordinating with machine shops and vendors.
• Troubleshoot issues on existing reactor hardware and work with engineers to implement design improvements that enhance productivity and reactor yield.

Requirements

Salary range : $185,000 - $225,000 per year
