Purpose Statement

Responsibilities for this position include answering customer calls, scheduling and coordinating all service calls as calls are received, maintaining ordering system, making sure that services are completed in a timely fashion and answering questions and giving information.

This job reports to the Manager of Dispatch

Responsibilities

Dispatch

  • Answers customer calls.
  • Enters new orders in ordering system and assigns orders to PICC RNs.
  • Maintains and monitors ordering system to assure that orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Creates and maintains a physical log of calls received and dispatched.
  • Communicates with clients regarding orders received / completed.
  • Communicates and coordinates with PICC RNs and Regional Managers.

    The location of this job is at the employee’s discretion. It is required that the employee should work primarily

    uninterrupted and in a quiet environment to assure clear communication with clients and staff. However, the actual location can be at the employee’s home or anywhere there is a clear cellular signal. This role routinely uses

    standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

    Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

    Expected hours of work are hours when the office is closed. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm.

    Required Education and Experience

    High school diploma or equivalent with some college or technical school course work and minimum of six months of job-related experience; technical experience, including responsibility for maintaining computer systems; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

    Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • General knowledge of computer software (Windows and Microsoft Office), computer hardware and computer servers.
  • Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, especially Excel and Microsoft Word software.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Knowledge of office administration procedures.
  • Ability to operate most standard office equipment.
  • Good to excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
