  • POSITION TITLE : Assistant Accountant

    REPORT TO : Accounting Team Lead

    FSLA STATUS :   Exempt

    HOURS :   Normal Business Hours (8 : 30 a.m. – 5 : 30 p.m.) with extended hours, as necessary. Overtime is required at month-end and year-end close.

    POSITION SCOPE :

    EEA Companies is seeking an Assistant Accountant with 2-4 years of experience, preferably with a privately owned or closely held group of entities. This position must have experience working directly with the general ledger, bank and general ledger account reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable and assisting with the monthly and year-end closing process. The employee must be able to exercise independent judgment, discretion, and initiative in completing assignments, manage multiple priorities, and generate accurate and timely information.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

    • Prepare weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
    • Accounts payable-related duties.
    • Prepare client invoices and record payments received.
    • Monitor and review accounts receivable aging.
    • Create sales orders based on contract specifications.
    • Create new customer and vendor profiles.
    • Respond to customer invoice inquiries.
    • Generate customer funds transfers.
    • Special projects and analysis as required.
    • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
    • 2 - 4 years of relevant experience, preferably with a privately owned or closely held group of entities.
    • Experience using NetSuite preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
    • Collaborative, self-starter who can work in a team environment and produce accurate output on time
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze reports for exceptions and trends.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Supervisory Responsibility :

    • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

      Compensación : $48,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
