Data Analyst II Opportunity

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) has a Data Analyst II opportunity available within our Data Strategy / Solution Design team. This role involves assisting in the development of data standards, policies, and procedures. It also includes supporting the development of short- and long-term solutions for information architecture strategies. You will work with IT teams to ensure compliance and perform regular audits of data. Collaboration with data architects is required to design the common customer view of information and to support the creation and implementation of detailed specifications for various IT projects / solutions. You will document and maintain all data definitions, data sources, business meaning, and usage of information. Participation in the development of a single source data strategy is also necessary. Understanding internal and external data sources for new data and better sources of data feeds is crucial. You must understand the framework for representing the data elements including the entities, relationships, and attributes. Solutions and recommendations for improving data integrity issues are also required. Following data profiling and preventative procedures to improve data quality, creating data quality metrics for identifying data related issues, and collaborating with multiple teams to establish appropriate data access management are part of this role. Technical documentation development and maintenance is also essential.
