Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical Technical Analyst with strong expertise in reporting, dashboarding, data processing , and automation . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with Power BI or Tableau , strong SQL skills, and familiarity with programming for automation. This role requires the ability to analyze trends within complex datasets and present insights with clarity—similar to science communication.
Key Responsibilities
1. Reporting & Dashboarding
Design, develop, and maintain recurring reports from multiple data sources.
Build interactive dashboards using Power BI , Tableau , or similar tools.
Generate automated files and insights on a scheduled basis.
2. Data Processing & Cleanup
Clean, transform, and standardize raw data into analytical formats.
Apply NLP , Regex , and data cleaning techniques to prepare datasets.
Develop automated pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
3. SQL & Automation
Work extensively with SQL databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server .
Develop SQL queries for analysis, reporting, and automation tasks.
Build automation scripts using Python , R , or Java to reduce manual workloads.
4. ServiceNow & ITSM Support
Utilize strong working knowledge of ServiceNow modules :
Incident
Problem
Change
Knowledge
ITOM
ITAM
Apply ITIL / ITSM best practices to ensure accurate data and reporting integrations.
5. Analytics & Problem-Solving
Work with large datasets to identify trends and actionable insights.
Apply critical thinking and troubleshooting skills for data issues.
Translate analytical findings into clear, meaningful visualizations and reports.
Required Skills & Attributes
Technical Expertise
SQL (Required) —experience with Microsoft SQL Server preferred.
Dashboarding Tools —Power BI or Tableau required.
DAX (preferred), in either Power BI or Excel.
Experience with at least one programming language : Python, R, or Java .
Experience in automation , especially for repetitive data tasks.
Data Processing Skills
NLP experience (Natural Language Processing).
Regex for data parsing and cleanup.
Strong fundamentals in data transformation and structuring.
ITSM Knowledge
Experience working with ServiceNow modules (Incident / Problem / Change / ITOM / ITAM).
Understanding of ITIL or similar ITSM frameworks.
Soft Skills
Strong communication skills—ability to convey complex insights simply.
Proven analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
