The Leader, Product Engineering and Development is responsible for leading, coaching and developing a team of engineers, engineering draftsman and CNC programmers. In this role you will lead a team responsible for the manufacturing design of Jeup product, ensuring that safety, quality, design, compliance, and financial goals are all met. This role is based in our Joseph Jeup manufacturing location in Grand Rapids, MI. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engineer and quote all custom product
  • Develop innovative engineering strategies for new product development, alongside crafting comprehensive testing and manufacturing documentation.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a dynamic team of - technical resources
  • Work to establish testing and environmental requirements
  • Continuously identify and implement strategies to evaluate and improve safety, quality, and efficiency within the shop
  • Develop and maintain parametric models for production
  • Play an integral role within the leadership team
  • Execute custom quoting and product development
  • Support the development of business strategies and financial plans

OUR REQUIREMENTS

  • years of furniture experience in manufacturing and product development
  • Proven capability in navigating accelerated projects, within a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication skills coupled with the ability to assemble cohesive teams, spanning from the production floor to executive levels
  • Proficient in SolidWorks
  • Expert level experience with parametric modeling and production
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasional domestic travel
