Our Senior Hardware Editor / Reporter should be well-versed in AI technology fundamentals and how they intersect with applications across consumer hardware, manufacturing, and robotics. The ideal candidate will communicate the importance and impact of these converging industries to a diverse audience across multiple platforms.

This role requires broad knowledge across various technical subjects, which will inform perspective and analysis on day-to-day reporting opportunities, event coverage, and the development of features and exclusives. Coverage is primarily written, though comfort being on camera, contributing to video projects, and moderating event programming is also expected.

This role will collaborate closely with the TechCrunch editorial team, contributing coverage while helping inform the work of others to keep our reporting at the industry forefront.

Qualifications

For individuals assigned and / or hired to work in California, TechCrunch includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This accounts for the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $120,000 per year to $150,000 per year.
