Development Coordinator

Summary : The Development Coordinator works in partnership with

development colleagues, donors, board leaders, volunteers, and staff to develop and execute a comprehensive donor stewardship strategy. This position oversees a critical component of the donor life cycle, helping the department to exceed financial goals and increase donor satisfaction and engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Develop and oversee a comprehensive donor stewardship strategy for individual donors, major and planned gifts, corporate partners, and funders of endowments, artworks, and exhibitions, in close collaboration with the Development team
• Manage a donor maintenance pool focusing on stewarding and engaging individual donors to ensure high donor retention
• Assist with donor and sponsor benefit fulfillment across all giving programs, ensuring corporate and individual partners receive promised recognition and engagement opportunities
• Support the efforts of the Leadership Council, Beaux Arts Council (BAC), Corporate Partnership Program (CPP), Legacy Society, and the Collectors Circle as needed
• Develop sponsorship proposals for all available funding opportunities and targeted donor solicitations as needed for the department and the Chief of Philanthropy and External Relations
• Generate, route, and mail BAC and CPP renewal letters in a timely manner and assist with the donor acknowledgement process through customization and routing
• Draft and produce donor communication templates including, but not limited to, renewals, solicitation, and donor acknowledgement letters.
• Create and execute endowment and impact reports that communicate the use of donor funds and provide relevant institutional updates to keep donors informed and engaged
• Oversee donor credit lines for the department, including for exhibitions, programs, events, works of art, and named spaces for consistency and accuracy.
• Coordinate between Development and Marketing teams on SLAM's member magazine to ensure necessary content is being generated by Development staff and verify donor listings and photos are accurate and relevant
• Manage the production of prospect research profiles and reports for purposes of qualification, cultivation, solicitation, board nominations, and other needs.
• Support the entry of all biographical, philanthropic, financial information as well as donor contacts with Directors Office, Development, Curatorial staff, and volunteers
• Provide staff support at BAC, Leadership Council, Legacy Society, CPP, Collectors Circle, and other donor events as needed
• Assist with the BAC phone line by answering and directing calls, taking RSVPs, and reserving tickets for BAC members
• Manages the BAC, CPP, and Other Ways to Give webpages

Additional Details :

Hiring Range : $53,832-$65,945 / year; commensurate with experience

Status : Regular, Full-Time (37.5 hours / week).
