Job Overview :

MetroSys is seeking a seasoned IT Infrastructure Consultant based in Dallas, TX to provide part-time onsite support for a customer managing a hybrid IT environment. This consultant will be the primary point of contact for technical escalations, supporting Microsoft, VMware, and Cisco systems with an emphasis on Active Directory certificate management , VxRail licensing , and Cisco ACI troubleshooting. Prior experience in customer-facing roles is essential, as the client expects professionalism, accountability, and strong communication due to a recent service disruption.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide onsite support for Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory and Certificate Services .

Assist with VMware environments – focusing on VxRail OEM licensing , vSphere , and vSAN troubleshooting and configuration.

Address Cisco networking issues related to routing, switching, WAPs , and Cisco ACI in coordination with internal CCNP-level staff.

Troubleshoot and resolve SMB infrastructure challenges as they arise.

Document findings and changes made during each engagement and hand off to in-house IT teams.

Serve as a reliable and steady technical presence to rebuild customer confidence after previous disruptions.

Requirements :

5–10+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure (Microsoft, VMware, Cisco).

Strong expertise in Active Directory , cert services , and Windows Server environments .

Solid understanding of VMware VxRail , vSAN , and vSphere licensing and administration.

Familiarity with Cisco ACI environments; strong route / switch / WiFi troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills.

Must be local to Dallas, TX and available for flexible onsite engagements .
