Sales Manager
Role Overview :
The primary goal of the Sales Manager is to help Yellow Dog Software's sales team sell more effectively and efficiently in today's increasingly competitive market. Our ideal candidate will be skilled at identifying the unique needs of our industries and deliver impactful initiatives that drive revenue growth. This role demands a well-rounded professional with exceptional communication abilities, as well as a proven history of designing and executing effective sales initiatives.
This position will be an in-office position in our Norfolk, VA headquarters reporting to the Director of Sales and will be eligible for a performance based, quarterly bonus plan.
Responsibilities :
- In collaboration with the Director of Sales, define sales priorities, build plans, and leverage tools to meet the sales team’s evolving needs.
- Stay abreast of changing technology and new platforms to maximize the performance and productivity of the sales team.
- Create and manage training, upskilling, and onboarding activities for the sales team.
- Analyze sales performance metrics and team activity data to identify skill gaps, optimize sales strategies, and improve sales effectiveness.
- Ensure the output of consistent, high-quality sales messaging that is aligned with brand and strategy.
- Partner with marketing to deliver on-brand, timely initiatives that drive engagement.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of each vertical’s objectives and goals, and adapt enablement plans accordingly.
Requirements :
Track record of success in a previous sales enablement or similar rolePrior experience in retail, hospitality, or software a plusMust be adept at evaluating and leveraging new and existing technologies and toolsSuperior written communication skills with a strong attention to detailExcellent verbal communication skills, effectively conveying complex ideas in an accessible formatAbility to work cross functionally and collaborativelyMust be a problem solver and strategic thinkerCollege degree preferred, not required with demonstrated experience
