Qualifications
Associate's degree in nursing required, a bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.Minimum of five years of nursing experience is required. At least one year of PAT experience is preferred.Current RN licensure in the state of Arizona or obtained within 90 days of hire required.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or obtained within 90 days of hire.Essential Functions
Assess, plan, evaluate, and ensure the implementation of patient care to achieve identified outcomes and metrics.Deliver safe patient care according to hospital policy and procedures.Assesses patient status by phone or in person and documents appropriately.Works with anesthesia to coordinate care prior to patient admission.Acts as a guide for patients in obtaining necessary testing in preparation for their procedure.Implements appropriate standards of care based on assessment data.Assumes an active role in the provision of quality nursing care.Performs and documents clearances as needed.Sends cases to anesthesia for review, as appropriate.Maintains confidentiality of all facility and patient information as required by facility policy.Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) computer charting and is proficient with documentation.Knowledge of orthopedic / medical / surgical best practices.Knowledge of Hospital policies and procedures.The job holder must demonstrate current competencies for job position.
