Position Summary

The Senior IT Operations Leader is responsible for the effective delivery, security, and support of IT systems and infrastructure across the agency. Reporting directly to the Director of Information Services, the Senior IT Operations Manager will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT‑related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT Operations Team. The Senior IT Operations Leader will work closely with decision makers to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost‑effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This person will also help define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices. A strong candidate will bring a blend of leadership, technical depth, and a passion for service.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Leadership

• Lead IT operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, providing guidance on best practices, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
• Bring together the needs of the business, end users, and clients to recommend operational improvement efforts aligned to the organization’s needs.
• Develop end‑to‑end view of service and operations from the perspective of the customer.
• Create a roadmap for continual process improvement and execute upon it.
• Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
• Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision with input from the Director of Information Services.
