The Northridge, a 64-unit upscale senior living retirement community in North Ridgeville, is looking for a Part-Time Dining Room Manager to join our team.
A Dining Room Manager oversees all aspects of the dining room operations to ensure exceptional customer service and a smooth, efficient dining experience. They are responsible for managing staff, maintaining quality standards, and handling administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff Management : Hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling dining room staff (servers, hosts, bussers, etc.). This includes leading pre-shift meetings and monitoring performance.
- Guest Services : Ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction by greeting and seating guests, actively engaging with them, and promptly and professionally resolving any complaints or issues.
- Operations Coordination : Serving as the liaison between the dining room and the kitchen staff to ensure a seamless flow of food service and address special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Quality and Cleanliness : Ensuring the dining room and bar areas are clean, organized, and properly set up before, during, and after service. This also involves monitoring the condition of equipment and arranging for repairs.
- Inventory and Financial Management : Managing inventory of dining room supplies (linens, silverware, etc.), assisting with budgeting.
- Compliance : Ensuring adherence to all company policies, including attendance and dress codes, as well as local health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Required Skills and Abilities
Experience : Proven experience in a hospitality leadership role, often 2-3 years in a similar position, preferably in a full-service or fine dining establishment.Leadership : Strong leadership and team-building abilities with the capacity to motivate and guide a diverse team.Customer Service : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.Problem-Solving : The ability to handle high-pressure situations, problem-solve in real-time, and make sound decisions.Organizational Skills : Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.Physical Stamina : Ability to stand for long periods, lift items, and move around the dining room frequently.Education : C ertifications in food safety (e.g., ServSafe) may be required.Physical Requirements :
Prolonged periods walking or standing.Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 50 pounds at a time.Must be able to bend, stoop, and wipe frequently.Schedule :
