Job Description :

Lead a Hardware Engineering team of up to 6 engineers.

Provide the technical and programmatic leadership for hardware design and support teams.

Ensure adequate trade studies, architectures, technical analysis, common hardware solutions, quality of products, and proper engineering process and methodology are followed.

Work with First Line Managers to properly staff programs.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to lead / interact with a cross functional team. Will interact directly with various internal / external customers to work through technical issues, program planning, and field support.

Provide Earned Value updates as the program Cost Account Manager for all hardware engineering work packages.

Basic Qualifications :

Candidate must possess a BS and / or MS in an engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, and / or Computer Engineering).

14+ years of detailed HW development experience.

Desired skills :

Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work with minimal day to day supervision.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to comprehend and work successfully with complex systems.

Lead small groups of teams for technical execution on programs, and ability to work with program / functional management to meet objectives of entire program.

Cross-Functional or Integrated Product team leadership experience.

Cost Account management experience.

Knowledge of Earned Value Management and tracking practices.

Basis of Estimate (BOE) and proposal experience.
