Role Overview : Field Engineer
As a Field Engineer with United Infrastructure Group, you will be responsible for on-site project administration, engineering, and scheduling. You will work closely with project managers and construction teams to manage daily operations, monitor budgets, and ensure project documentation and schedules are updated and aligned with project goals. This role plays a critical part in the successful execution of large-scale heavy highway construction projects.
Typical Duties Include but Are Not Limited To :
Manage and oversee routine project documentation and scheduling activities on siteReview subcontractor pay estimates and prepare owner pay estimates for management approvalSupervise and maintain project cost reports and lead review meetings with stakeholdersOversee project Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule and update as neededManage and maintain project document control systemsCoordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure work aligns with project scope and scheduleIdentify potential project issues early and develop recommended solutionsAssist with preparation of job budgets, change orders, and forecasting reports for managerial reviewProvide support during project review meetings and present technical data when necessaryQualifications :
BS in Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementMinimum 5 years of engineering experience in heavy / highway constructionExperience on projects over $20 million in valueFamiliarity with grading, drainage, paving, bridge construction, retaining walls, and other highway construction scopesProficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; JDEdwards experience preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized with strong time management skillsPhysical Demands :
Ability to sit and / or stand for extended periods during a regular 8+ hour shiftOccasionally required to stoop, bend, walk, crouch, and climbMust be able to frequently lift at least 25 lbs and carry up to 15 lbsMust be able to work outdoors in all weather conditionsAbility to walk on uneven ground and work at heights up to 60 feetExposure to dust, dirt, grease, noise, and construction-related materialsWork Environment :
Outdoor field work at active construction sites in various weather conditionsRegular exposure to heavy equipment, moving machinery, and construction materialsMay require climbing scaffolding, ladders, and accessing confined or elevated workspacesWork may involve substances such as oil, concrete, fuel, and related construction materialsRequirements – All Applicants Must Be :
