About Weatherford's Talent Management Department :
Weatherford's talent management organization is responsible for designing and executing strategies that attract, develop, and retain top talent, ensuring alignment with the company's evolving business needs and transformation goals.
Scope :
As a key member of the HR organization, the Technical Learning and Development Manager will champion enterprise-wide learning and development of technical workforce. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can work independently and collaboratively with HR Business Partners, managers, and senior leaders to drive impactful outcomes.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Lead and manage competency and career path design for all technical workforce.
- Design and implement the technical competency framework including designing career paths, scoping and designing associated learning paths and implementation of the same.
- Lead technical content development and training. Laison with Subject Matter Experts to ensure they provide relevant information reference competency development.
- Conduct reviews related to competency and learning matrix to ensure they remain robust and fit -for-purpose.
- Design and execute upskilling & reskilling strategies to prepare employees for the future of work.
- Responsible for developing KPIs that measure effectiveness of technical learning and utilization.
- Responsible for design & project management of development programs fostering succession planning, high performance, engagement, and retention.
- Manage budget for the department.
- Lead a team of technical trainers and content developers.
- Lead and contribute to special projects as needed.

Education & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Minimum of 12 years of experience in talent management or related area, with at least 6 years specifically in technical learning and developmentAtleast 6 years' experience in developing competency frameworks and career path8+ years of management experienceVendor management experience a plusKnowledge of oilfield services industry a plusWillingness to travel up to 30%.Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.LI-JA1
