Mechanical Design Engineer, Sensor Cleaning

What to Expect The Tesla Camera Team designs and integrates camera modules and cleaning solutions across all Tesla vehicle platforms. The team joins mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and manufacturing engineering disciplines in a highly collaborative team. We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineers to play a role in building this ambitious vision into reality. There will be an emphasis on creative problem-solving abilities and technical rigor for this role.

What You'll Do

• Support the integration and performance of sensor cleaning systems, primarily for camera on autonomous and electric vehicles
• Design and validate cleaning systems (nozzles, air jets, wipers) for ADAS sensors and design creative design solutions and mechanisms to support Autopilot requirements
• Collaborate with Autopilot, electrical, and body engineering teams
• Develop system-level integration with sensor housings and develop specifications and accelerated test plans to validate the product for its determined lifetime
• Investigate several cleaning technologies and help validate them on fleet vehicles
• Fabricate prototypes, iterate rapidly, advance your conceptsthrough tovolume production
• Manage suppliers to execute projects according to the design specifications and timeline commitments

Expected Compensation $106,400 - $256,200 / annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
