\n🧠 About the Brain Health Unit\n\n
The Brain Health Unit (BHU) consists of two 40-bed units that care for patients with combined medical and psychiatric diagnoses . This unique setting allows our clinicians to build strong, therapeutic relationships with patients who typically have a 23-day length of stay .
\nAs part of the BHU team, you will :

Support patients with medication management and rehab needs
\n\t
\n\t
Engage patients in therapeutic group programs and individualized activities
\n\t
\n\t
Foster trust, respect, boundaries, and communication to promote healing
\n\t
\n \n\n

\n💼 Job Summary\n\n
Under the supervision of an RN and Nursing Leadership, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) :
\n\n \n\t
Provides individualized nursing care to meet resident needs
\n\t
\n\t
Applies foundational nursing and physical assessment skills
\n\t
\n\t
Supports daily unit operations and teamwork
\n\t
\n\t
Assumes leadership responsibilities as needed to ensure smooth care delivery
\n\t
\n \n\n

\n✅ Requirements\n\n \n\t
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma or Associate degree)
\n\t
\n\t
Active LPN License in Maryland (or compact state with eligibility)
\n\t
\n\t
AHA BLS CPR Certification
\n\t
\n\t
Basic computer literacy and familiarity with common clinical equipment :
\n\n\t \n\t\t
\n\t\t
Synquest, IV Pump, Phillips Monitoring System, Accucheck, EKG Machine, Specialty Bed Operation
\n\t\t
\n\t \n\t
\n\t
Less than one year of experience acceptable — new graduates encouraged to apply!
