Family Medicine Physician

Compensation : $200,000 per year

Job Type : Full-Time | Monday - Friday | 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM

We are seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our client’s healthcare team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role focuses on providing comprehensive primary care, with a special emphasis on treating individuals with substance use disorders (SUD). You will oversee patient care, supervise nursing activities, and contribute to innovative addiction treatment programs.

Responsibilities :

  • Patient Care : Conduct thorough medical histories, physical exams, and preventive care, with hospital care as needed.
  • SUD Program Leadership : Lead the substance use disorder (SUD) treatment program, implementing innovative addiction care approaches while maintaining high standards of medical practice.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with specialists and oversee nursing activities to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Supervision & Education : Mentor medical students and residents, provide clinical guidance, and actively participate in Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities.

Qualifications :

  • Licensure : Active Florida Medical License.
  • Education : MD or DO degree with 3 years of residency in a specialty field.
  • Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience working with patients affected by Substance Use Disorder (SUD).
  • Certifications : CPR and AED certification required. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) preferred.
