Freelance / Contract

The Hired Guns are seeking a passionate Senior User Experience Researcher to support the core UX team at a highly sought-after global tech company. This full-time contract opportunity will start remotely and, post-COVID, will move on-site in either NYC or San Francisco.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior User Experience Researcher to lead a team focused on collecting and analyzing user feedback for the development of new applications and features. You will collaborate with designers and engineers to create internal-facing applications and tools for over 200,000 employees, with potential for some projects to become globally-used external applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct generative and evaluative research on internal tools.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers.
  • Utilize mixed methods research and deliver results efficiently.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Prioritize DEI and accessibility in research practices.
  • Moderate or design end-to-end research studies.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in UX research, particularly with internal tools.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Comfort with rapid change and ambiguity.
  • Focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
  • Bonus : Background in anthropology, human-centered design, psychology, cognition, or sociology.
