Position SummaryThe Plant Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the RNG plant, overseeing Plant Operators and Supervisors to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This role manages daily plant activities, preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and responses to upsets or emergencies, while fostering a strong safety culture and continuous improvement. The Plant Manager serves as the primary liaison with corporate leadership, vendors, and regulatory agencies, balancing operational excellence with cost management. In addition, the position develops and mentors staff, ensuring clear progression through operator levels and supervisory roles, while maintaining accountability for plant output, compliance, and financial performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all plant operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient performanceSupervise Plant Operators (Levels 1–3), providing coaching, training, and performance evaluationsLead response to plant upsets, emergencies, and callouts, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtimeManage preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliabilityReview and approve redlined P&IDs, SOP updates, and technical documentationLead safety meetings, identify near misses, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and company safety standardsCollaborate with FP&A and corporate teams on variance reporting, budget forecasting, and financial performance analysisMonitor operating expenses (Opex) and implement cost-control measuresServe as primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, corporate leadership, and external stakeholdersProvide monthly metrics reporting to leadership, including production, safety, and financial metricsPromote teamwork and morale, managing diverse personalities and maintaining cohesiveness across shifts
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of RNG processes, plant equipment (compressors, blowers, pumps, motors, PLCs), and safety systemsProven ability to lead teams, train operators, and manage complex operations with minimal supervisionExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in plant control systems, process safety management, and Microsoft OfficeFlexibility : Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities effectively.

Work Environment & TravelFull-time position; typical shifts may extend beyond 10–12 hours depending on operational needsMust be available for rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and emergency calloutsRequires flexibility to respond to operational and leadership demands outside of standard hours
