Position Overview : Join a dynamic emergency care team providing compassionate and expert nursing care during night shifts in a fast-paced environment. This role demands initiative, adaptability, and professional responsibility with minimal supervision. You will triage patients swiftly and accurately, prioritizing care based on physical and psychosocial needs while managing patient flow efficiently.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, and collaborate with specialists to optimize nursing interventions.
- Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and reassessments for patients across all age groups including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Utilize triage protocols to assign appropriate urgency levels ensuring timely care.
- Assess and manage pain effectively, educating patients and families on pain control strategies.
- Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret cardiac rhythms, identifying and responding to dysrhythmias appropriately.
- Conduct point-of-care waived testing and interpret results to guide clinical decisions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medications, administer them safely following the rights of medication administration, and manage IV fluids.
- Document patient histories, conditions, treatments, and responses accurately to support continuity of care.
- Promote a safe care environment that minimizes medical errors and enhances patient safety.
Education and Experience :
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.Current Registered Nurse license valid in the state of practice.Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire.Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within one year of hire.Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within one year of hire.Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within one year of hire.Minimum one year of emergency department nursing experience preferred.Professional Requirements :
