Electrician I Position

Pay : $20.00- $25.00 per hour DOE

Position Summary

The Electrician I position requires hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) to perform a wide variety of complex electrical repairs and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. This would include experience working with power up to 600V, the ability to demonstrate an understanding of complex electrical AC / DC theory, be able to follow electrical drawings and schematics, and apply this knowledge in the field to operate, inspect, maintain, and repair equipment and systems across the Central Passenger Terminal Complex (CPTC). The Electrician I responsibilities require applying standard trade practices and procedures consistent with the NEC to ensure quality work commensurate with that of an entry-level electrician skilled in working with electrical equipment and systems in a large industrial, institutional, or manufacturing facility. The Electrician I performs work under supervision. Reporting may be to the Electrical Superintendent or a shift supervisor depending upon assigned shift.

Essential Job Functions

• Provides support on operations, inspection, and repair of electrical equipment and systems.
• Works on a wide variety of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems with some supervision.
• Supports senior electricians with electrical equipment and system troubleshooting and repairs.
