Title - Structural Technician III

Contract – 6+ Months
Responsibilities
As a Structural Technician III, you will be responsible for assembling and building major structures, as well as fitting smaller parts. Your daily tasks will include :
- Assembling parts : Use tools to file, saw, trim, and rivet parts.
- Drilling and reaming holes in structures.
- Aligning and securing parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures.
- Verifying dimensions of parts using micrometers and calipers.
- Modifying assemblies and incorporating new changes into existing structures.
- Monitoring and ensuring quality control.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
This role requires a high degree of physical and mental stamina. You must be able to :
Walk, sit, stand, and climb frequently.Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Repeat hand, arm, and finger motions many times.Use your vision to discern close and distant objects, depth, and colors.Differentiate between various tones and volumes.You will often be exposed to loud noises, outdoor elements, and potentially fumes or hazardous chemicals. This is a safety-sensitive position, as you'll be responsible for the security of people or property and will operate or supervise heavy machinery.
Qualifications
Must-Haves
At least 5 years of relevant experience or a higher-level degree in a related field.High school diploma or GED equivalent.Must own and provide your own tools in good working order.Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.Experience with structural assembly, part fitting, repair, and refinishing (., corrosion removal).Ability to install various fasteners like rivets and hi-locks.Ability to obtain a security clearance.Preferred
Background in the aerospace and defense industry, NASA, or the US Military.Willingness to travel.
