Summary

As a Paramedic, you will play a crucial role as an emergency response medical professional, providing immediate medical care to victims of accidents, violence, and sudden illnesses. You will deliver advanced life support both pre-hospital and intra-hospital until patient care is transferred to the medical facility.

Key Responsibilities :

• Represent the ambulance service at public events, providing medical standby services as needed.
• Document assessments and treatments in patient care charting software accurately.
• Provide care for patients in medical, traumatic, and psychiatric crises.
• Work as part of a two-member ambulance crew responding to both emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Operate advanced life support equipment, including defibrillators and electrocardiograms.
• Assess injury or illness and prioritize medical procedures for stabilization and transport.
• Drive and operate specialized emergency vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Administer medications as instructed by a physician.
• Communicate with medical personnel regarding treatment plans for patients.
• Maintain hygiene and safety by cleaning the ambulance after transporting patients with infectious diseases.

Physical Demands :

Must be able to lift over 50 lbs, push / pull up to 140 lbs, and carry 80 lbs short distances. Frequent standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and overhead reaching are required.
