Job Title : Staff Pharmacist
Job Description
The Pharmacist will perform essential functions within a specialty pharmacy setting, primarily focusing on prescription review and data quality checks. Responsibilities include ensuring accuracy in medication details, handling inbound and outbound communications with healthcare providers, and educating patients and families over the phone regarding medication usage.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve medication orders by interpreting physician orders to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Verify that all clinical, quality, and drug utilization reviews are correct.
- Handle incoming and outgoing prescription verifications.
- Communicate with prescribers to confirm dosing and administration details.
- Monitor drug therapies and identify / report adverse events and product complaints.
- Counsel patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and strategies to minimize adverse events.
- Conduct additional outreach and follow-up as required by regulatory agencies.
- Stay updated on pharmacy laws and complete continuing education to maintain licensure.
- Ensure compliance with program guidelines and quality assurance procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with call center and other program staff.
- Supervise and guide pharmacy staff, providing coaching and performance reviews.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacist in a retail or specialty pharmacy setting.Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree required, PharmD preferred.Current and valid Pharmacist state license in good standing.Proficient with basic computer programs and multitasking capabilities.Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $60.00 / hr.
