American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN with telemetry experience for day shifts and every third weekend in a med / surg acute unit.

Job Details

  • Work in a Medical Surgical Acute Stepdown unit,
  • Day shift position, 12-hour shifts from 07 : 00 to 19 : 00, three days per week,
  • Telemetry monitoring required,
  • Care for patients requiring Cardizem and Heparin drips,
  • Every third weekend required,

Job Requirements

  • Active KS or compact RN license,
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or Red Cross,
  • NIHSS certification required,
  • Completion of Workplace Violence Prevention training (e.g., DCI / BVP) prior to start,
  • Minimum one year of experience in stepdown or related specialty,
  • Ability to work with telemetry and high-acuity med / surg patients,

    • Additional Information

  • Responsible for managing patients requiring telemetry monitoring and complex medication infusions,
  • Team-oriented environment with support staff available,
  • Primary source license verification will be completed within 30 days of start,
  • Will be required to follow all hospital and infection control protocols,
