School Lunch Personnel

Hours : 9 : 30 a.m. 1 : 00 p.m. Monday - Friday

Salary : per contract

Qualifications and Responsibilities :

The Lunchroom Personnel prepares and serves lunch for students. They maintain an orderly safe and pleasant atmosphere in the lunchroom.

Essential Functions :

Practice proper sanitation procedures.

Prepare hot lunch food according to written and oral instructions.

Maintain a neat clean and safe work environment.

Supervises students in the lunchroom during lunch.

Circulate among the tables during the mealtime so as to be available to children who need help or resolve problems that arise.

Serves as a role model for students.

Clean cafeteria tables upon completion of lunch period.

Clean and maintain cafeteria as necessary and report all issues to the principal.

Skills :

Assists in the maintenance of the lunchroom and in supervising students during lunchtime.

Supervises and monitors students in the lunchroom during meals.

Remains alert at all times to the students and their needs.

Circulates through the lunchroom during meals assisting students as needed.

Maintains an orderly lunchroom reinforces manners eating habits and cleanup procedures.

Reports any serious concerns and accidents / injuries to principal in a timely manner.

Establishes and maintains a safe environment during lunch.

Enforces safety rules and appropriate behavior.

Complies with all school safety and risk management policies and procedures.

Demonstrates punctuality and outstanding attendance.

Maintains confidentiality about students.

Demonstrates patience and understanding when working with children.

Qualifications :

Appropriatecertification for lunch personnel preferred.

Protecting Gods Children certificate preferred.
