About the Client :

  • Our client, provides the US Military, law enforcement, and government agencies with precision-engineered, high-quality weapons, new or replacement components, and modular weapon systems.

They are looking to fill a Quality Engineer position.    What You’ll Be Doing :

  • Ensure Products Meet High Standards : You’ll help improve how products are made and inspected, making sure everything meets ISO 9001 requirements and customer expectations.
  • Work Across Teams :

  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and customer service to solve problems, including customer complaints and production issues.
  • Build & Manage Quality Plans :

  • Create and maintain quality control plans using data to guide improvements.
  • Inspect Incoming Materials :

  • Verify that all purchased parts and materials meet company standards.
  • Support New Product Launches :

  • Help define quality procedures for new products.
  • Improve Current Products :

  • Review existing products and set up quality checks to keep things running smoothly.
  • Write Inspection Guidelines :

  • Develop and update instructions for how parts and products should be inspected.
  • Assist Production :

  • Support the launch of new production runs and help maintain high quality during operations.
  • Maintain Reports & Records :

  • Keep clear, accurate documentation of all quality inspections and reports.   Education & Experience : Accredited 4-year bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or a related field required.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a practical or related field in an ISO CNC and precision assembly environment is required. 7+ years experience with knowledge and application of root cause analysis and problem-solving in a continuous improvement environment pertaining to metal materials and / or CNC machining.
  • Experience performing internal audits and audit reporting.
  • Must be computer literate, including Office 365 applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal team members and external, suppliers, and subcontractors required.
  • Must be able to write technical reports and business correspondence reports.
  • Must possess skills in advanced mathematics and statistics.
  • Must possess the ability to read, interpret and understand precision measuring tools (CMM, Gauges, Calipers, Micrometers, etc.), blueprints, schematics, and precision principles such as GD&T.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Should be knowledgeable in value stream mapping, root cause analysis, kaizen events, and process capabilities (CPK / CP).   Benefits :
