- BA / BFA in Communication Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, or related field or equivalent experience
- 5 years of visual design experience
Job Description :
Primary Duties include :
Creative Design and Business Graphics
Design, layout and produce PowerPoint presentations, interactive digital posters, technical illustrations, logos, and promotional itemsCreate new designs from descriptions, back-of-the-envelope drawings and notes, or existing materialsIntegrate dissimilar inputs with varying styles into a unified presentation; ensure design consistencyClean up / reformat / organize content in existing presentations and reports to meet the Laboratory's level of professionalismApply knowledge of color theory, perspective, composition, and information design to every deliverableOrganization, Asset Management, Quality Control
Maintain electronic libraries of briefings, clip art, and other marketing resourcesMaintain links to resources on Group or Division webpages, wikis, and file repositoriesDevelop content management guidelines and protocolsEnsure work adheres to Laboratory style guides, branding standards, as well as marking and release requirementsProof-read deliverables for spelling, grammar and punctuationAdvise staff on best practices for producing effective graphics and publicationsAssist with file transfers from one system to anotherCollaboration and Project Management
Work with management and staff to determine project needs, timelines, expectations and prioritiesProactively reach out to technical staff to discuss content, propose solutions, request inputs, review timelinesSet up SharePoint folders in support of specific meetings; distribute link to speakers, track uploads and graphics work neededCollaborate with / support other artists in the DivisionWork independently; prioritize, track, and bring tasks to closureConstant Innovation
