Major / Essential Functions :

• Direct reporting line from the burn center director to institutional leaders.
• Work closely with the burn center nurse manager for all staff related issues, all bylaws and operating procedures / policies.
• Oversee all therapy disciplines (PT / OT / Speech) with input in training, scheduling and patient care.
• Responsible for scheduling and oversite of all providers for inpatient and outpatient including trainees.
• Collaborate with other divisions including trauma and plastic surgery.
• Foster interest in burn surgery in addition to teaching and mentoring, the burn center supports 2 one-year fellow positions.
• Complete autonomy to determine wound closure options of all types (CEA, BTM, Integra, recell).
• Complete oversite of a healthy burn foundation developed via philanthropy that produces equipment and research funding annually.
